Pathways to Leadership with Charleston Promise.

We kicked off the start of our Pathway to Leadership program with the Charleston Promise group at Simmons-Pinckney Middle School. The idea is to work with the 6th graders and show them the leaders that are already inside of each of them. It’s only the beginning but we are so ready to see how our kids grow and on top of that they are already looking to start doing some service for their community and helping their neighbors.

Charleston Promise Neighborhood mission has always been to provide and facilitates comprehensive programs and services that support children, strengthen families, and mobilize residents to action. We are partnering with them to provide leadership programming for middle school students so that when they graduate to Burke, they are ready to conquer any and all issues they see in their community. We’re so excited to see how this program grows and to see students become their best selves.
