Kaia wins *another* scholarship from the Rotary

One of our amazing seniors, Kaia W, has been racking up awards and scholarships as her high school career comes to an end. To add to her collection of accolades, Kaia was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Rotary for her exemplary servant leadership that she has displayed over the past year. Even with Covid slowing down the world, Kaia kept her head up and continued to drive our service projects that ended up giving back to over a thousand people in the past year! To receive her award, she was able to go to a Rotary meeting and present on our project with the Pink House and what she learned from the experience. It’s been such a pleasure watching her grow over the past two years from a shy and quiet junior to a senior who is comfortable speaking in front of Charleston’s most prominent business and community leaders!

We’re so excited to see how Kaia continues to grow and add to her trophy case as she goes to USC-Upstate in the fall to pursue a degree in nursing. Her continued commitment to giving back to others is inspiring and nursing is the perfect avenue to harness that passion - we cannot wait to see what she’s able to accomplish! Go Kaia!
