Little Free Library Construction!

Our students know how tough it is for lower income students and their families to have consistent access to new and affordable books. They also see in their neighborhoods how far younger students are falling behind in their literacy rates due to Covid-19 forcing them to learn from homes virtually. To combat this, students built a Little Free Library to put in the Eastside Neighborhood of Charleston - a lower income neighborhood that could benefit from a constant flow of books for children and families to take. Painting is still to come but the structure is sound!
