Mentoring Fair

Saturday morning, we participated at a Mentoring Expo in hopes of finding wonderful people out in the community who would like to mentor one of our students. We asked people our Magic Wand question to find out what issues people care about in Charleston and who they would like to help with infinite power. The responses were amazing and ranged from homelessness to gun violence to helping animals. So many faces showed up to the Expo including the mayor himself regardless of him having a busy schedule or not, he decided to take time out of his day to come and support.

Even if you did not make the expo, ask yourself this: If you had a magic wand that could fix any issue or help any group of people, what would you do? Think about it. And once you have an answer, get to work.
